By using electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and thermodynamic calculation methods, it is found that the change of C and N content will cause changes in the precipitation amount and precipitation morphology of V(C, N), thereby affecting the mechanical properties of steel. The research results show that when the C content increases, the precipitation amount and precipitation size of V(C, N) will increase; when the N content increases, it will promote the precipitation of V(C, N) and make it form finer precipitates, which can improve the hardness and strength of steel. This study provides a useful theoretical basis for in-depth understanding of the precipitation behavior of steel and its regulation.Keywords: V(C, N) precipitation, C and N content, mechanical properties, electron microscopy, thermodynamic calculation.
