题目林语堂作品自译策略研究AcknowledgementsFirst,Iwouldliketoexpressmysincerethankstomysupervisor,Mr.PangXuefeng,whohasofferedmemanyvaluablesuggestionsandprofessionalguidanceduringthewholeprocessofwritingthisthesis,suchasonrevisingtheproposal,givingadetailedandclearexplanationofmyconfusionaboutsometranslationstrategiesandtranslationmethods.Withouthisconstantassistanceandsupport,Iwouldnothaveaccomplishedthisthesis.IdeeplyappreciateProfessorLiQiang,whogaveourundergraduatessystematicandcomprehensivelessonsonthesiswritingwithinsightfulinterpretationandeffectiveclassroomandextracurricularexercises.Ialsowanttoextendmygratitudetowardsagroupofexcellentteachersduringmyundergraduatestudy.Lastbutnotleast,Iamdeeplyindebtedtomymomandsisterfortheirunwaveringsupportandlove.AbstractAsauniquekindoftranslation,self-translationhasalonghistory.Therecentfewyearshavewitnessedagrowingnumberofstudiesonself-translation.Studiesonself-translationinChinastartedlate,amongwhichresearchoncertainself-translatorssuchasLinYutang,EileenChangandXiaoQianformsavitalpart.LinYutangisnotonlyaworld-knownscholar,litterateurandlinguist,butalsoanoutstandingself-translatorwithextraordinarybilingualcompetence.Probingintohisself-translationsisconducivetodeepeningtheunderstandingofself-translationandupgradingourtranslationability.ThisthesisisadescriptiveresearchonLinYutang’sself-translationstrategies,withclosetextualanalysisofhisself-translatedessays.19examplesanalyzedinthethesisarerepresentativeandaretakenfrom12self-translatedarticlesinTheLittleCritic:TheBilingualEssaysofLinYutang(QianSuoqiao,2012).Throughanexaminationofsixtypesofself-translationtechniquesemployedinhisself-renditions,namely,annotation,substitution,concretization,motification,paraphrasing,andtransliteration,thethesisdrawstheconclusionasfollows:LinYutangadoptsself-translationstrategiesofdomesticationandforeignizationwithatendencyfordomestication.Thistendencyaccordswithhistranslationviewsfeaturedbythreetranslationcriteria:faithfulness,fluencyandbeauty.Besides,thisinclinationalsoreflectshisbeliefontheessenceoftranslation,i.e.“Translationisanart”andhisferventreaders’awareness.Keywords:self-translation;self-translationstrategies;domestication;foreignization摘要自译是一种特殊的翻译现象，有着悠久的历史。近年来，学界对自译现象的研究呈不断上升趋势。国内对自译的研究起步较晚，对自译者的研究是其中重要一部分，如林语堂，张爱玲，萧乾等。林语堂不仅是著名的学者，文学家，语言学家，还是一位杰出的自译家，具备卓越的双语能力。研究林语堂的自译作品，有助于加深对自译现象的理解，提升翻译水平。本文是对林语堂作品自译策略的描述性研究，对他的自译作品进行文本细读与分析。文中19个例证选自《小评论：林语堂双语文集》中的12篇译文，具有较强的代表性。本文通过对林语堂自译实践所采用的六种具体翻译方法的考察，即加注替换，具体化，改译，意译，音译分析归纳出他的自译策略及其倾向，以及影响他自译策略选择的因素。通过研究，得出以下结论：林语堂在自译过程中运用了归化和异化的策略，并体现出归化占主导的倾向。这种倾向体现出他以“忠实，通顺，美”三个翻译标准为代表的翻译思想，“翻译是一门艺术”这一针对翻译本质的理念，和他深厚的读者意识。关键词：自译；自译策略；归化；异化Contents云南民族大学毕业论文(设计)原创性声明.....................................................................iAcknowledgements..........................................................................................................iiAb...
