There have been many studies on the effects of power frequency magnetic fields on the human body, but the impacts on other organisms, especially fruit flies, are still unclear. This study aims to explore the influence of 3mT power frequency magnetic field on the physiological and biochemical indicators and gene expression of fruit flies. Firstly, we exposed the fruit flies to a 3mT power frequency magnetic field and observed its impact on fruit fly morphology, reproductive ability, development, weight, and other physiological and biochemical indicators. Secondly, we analyzed the differences in gene expression between the fruit flies exposed to 3mT power frequency magnetic fields and the control group using RNA sequencing and real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR techniques. The results are expected to reveal the mechanism of the effect of power frequency magnetic fields on the physiological and biochemical processes of fruit flies.Keywords: 3mT power frequency magnetic field; fruit fly; physiological and biochemical indicators; gene expression.
