In this project, we plan to study the crystal growth, optical and thermal properties of BaGa4Se7 crystals, and also explore new infrared nonlinear optical crystal materials based on the structural and electronic characteristics of BaGa4Se7.Introduction:Nonlinear optical materials have been widely used in laser technology, optical communication, and other fields due to their efficient frequency conversion, electro-optic modulation, and other nonlinear optical effects. BaGa4Se7 is a promising nonlinear optical material with excellent optical and thermal properties, but its crystal growth and processing are still challenging. In addition, there is a continuous demand for new infrared nonlinear optical crystal materials to meet the needs of advanced laser technology. Thus, it is of great significance to investigate the growth and properties of BaGa4Se7 crystals and explore new infrared nonlinear optical materials.Objectives:The objectives of this project are three-fold: (1) to optimize the crystal growth process of BaGa4Se7 crystals with high quality and good morphology; (2) to investigate the optical and thermal properties of BaGa4Se7 crystals, including transmission spectrum, refractive index, birefringence, and thermal conductivity; (3) to explore new infrared nonlinear opti...
