Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are a group of receptor molecules that are widely present in various cells and tissues of the body, with the ability to recognize pathogenic bacteria and damage signals, and play an important role in immune and inflammatory regulation. Recent studies have shown that TLRs play an important role in the occurrence and development of myocardial I/R injury, affecting the fate and function of myocardial cells through multiple mechanisms such as regulation of inflammatory response, cell apoptosis, autophagy, oxidative stress, etc., and thus affecting the progression of myocardial I/R injury. This article will start from the mechanism of myocardial I/R injury, the basic characteristics and mechanism of TLRs, and the relationship with myocardial I/R injury in order to explore in-depth the role and clinical significance of TLRs in the progression of myocardial I/R injury. Keywords: Toll-like receptor; myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury; inflammatory response; oxidative stress; autophagy
