In this study, typical temperate grassland in China was selected as the research object, and different concentrations of nitrogen and water were added to study the effects of nitrogen and water addition on soil respiration in grassland. The results showed that nitrogen and water addition treatments significantly increased the soil respiration rate of grassland. With the increase of nitrogen and water addition concentration, the soil respiration rate showed a gradually increasing trend. Linear regression analysis showed that nitrogen addition had a significant impact on soil respiration, while water addition had a smaller impact. This study can provide basic data and scientific reference for in-depth understanding of carbon and nitrogen cycling in grassland ecosystem and appropriate grassland management.Keywords: Grassland; Nitrogen addition; Water addition; Soil respiration; Carbon and nitrogen cycling
