In high-voltage direct current transmission, SVC, as an effective control device, is widely applied to weak terminal system to improve the stability and reliability of the system. This paper focuses on the study of SVC control strategy in weak terminal system of high-voltage direct current transmission, exploring how to improve the performance and efficiency of the system by optimizing the control strategy.Firstly, the relevant theories and applications of high-voltage direct current transmission and SVC technology are introduced and summarized. Then, the characteristics and problems of the weak terminal system are analyzed, and the role and basic principle of SVC in weak terminal system are elaborated in detail.Next, through simulation experiments, this paper explores the control strategy of SVC in weak terminal system and optimizes it. The simulation results show that the new control strategy can effectively improve the stability and reliability of the system, and the operation efficiency has been significantly improved.Finally, the research results of this paper are summarized, and the future research work is prospected.【Keywords】High voltage direct current transmission; SVC; Weak terminal system; Control strategy; System stability; Efficiency improvement
