消费者权益保护法LawofthePeople’sRepublicofChinaonProtectionofConsumerRightsandInterests(AdoptedattheFourthMeetingoftheStandingCommittteeoftheEighthNationalPeople’sCongressonOctober31,1993,andshallenterintoforceasofJanuary1,1994.)ChapterIGeneralProvisionsArticle1ThepresentLawisformulatedfortheprotectionofthelegitimaterightsandinterestsofconsumers,maintenanceofthesocio-economicorderandpromotionofthehealthydevelopmentofsocialistmarketeconomy.Article2TherightsandinterestsofconsumersinpurchasingandusingcommoditiesorreceivingservicesfordailyconsumptionshallbeundertheprotectionofthepresentLaw,orundertheprotectionofotherrelevantlawsandregulationsinabsenceofstipulationsinthisLaw.Article3Businessoperatorsshall,intheirsupplyofcommoditiesproducedandsoldbythemorservicestoconsumers,abidebythepresentLaw,orabidebyotherrelevantlawsandregulationsinabsenceofstipulationsinthepresentlaw.Article4Intransactionsbetweenbusinessoperatorsandconsumersaprincipleofvoluntariness,equality,fairness,honestyandcredibilityshallbefollowed.Article5TheStateshallprotectthelegitimaterightsandinterestsofconsumersfrominfringement.TheStateshalladoptmeasurestosafeguardconsumers’exerciseoftheirrightsinaccordancewiththelawandtomaintainthelegitimaterightsandinterestsofconsumers.Article6Itisthecommonresponsibilityofthewholesocietytoprotectthelegitimaterightsandinterestsofconsumers.TheStateshallencourageandsupportallorganizationsandindividualstoexercisesocialsupervisionoveractsinfringinguponconsumerrightsandinterests.Massmediashallconductpropagandadefendingthelegitimaterightsandinterestsofconsumersand,throughpublicopinion,exercisesupervisionoveractsinfringinguponthelegitimaterightsandinterestsofconsumers.ChapterIIRightsofConsumersArticle7Consumersshall,intheirpurchasingandusingcommoditiesorreceivingservices,enjoytherightoftheinviolabilityoftheirpersonalandpropertysafety.Consumersshallhavetherighttodemandbusinessoperatorstosupplycommoditiesandservicesuptotherequirementsofpersonalandpropertysafety.Article8Consumersshallenjoytherighttoobtaintrueinformationofthecommoditiestheypurchaseanduseortheservicestheyreceive.Consumersshallhavetherighttodemandbusinessoperators,inlightofthedifferentconditionsofcommoditiesorservices,toprovidetheirprices,origin,manufacturers,usage,functions,standards,grades,mainingredients,dateofproduction,termofvalidity,certificatesofinspection,operationinstructions,aftersaleservicesorinformationrelatingtocontents,standardsandcostsoftheservices.Article9Consumersshallenjoytherightoffreechoiceofcommoditiesorservices.Consumersshallhavetherighttomakeafreechoiceofbusinessoperatorsforsupplyofcommoditiesorservices,selectfreelyamongvarietiesofarticlesorformsofservicesanddecideindependentlytobuyornottobuyanykindofcommodities,ortoacceptornottoacceptanyitemofservices.Consumersshallhavetherighttomakecomparisons,differentiationsandselectionswhentheymakeafreechoiceofcommoditiesorservices.Article10Consumersshallenjoytherightoffairdeal.Consumersshall,intheirpurchasingcommoditiesorreceivingservices,havetherighttoobtainfairdealprerequisitessuchasguaranteeofquality,reasonablepricesandcorrectmeasurement,andhavetherighttorefuseanycompulsorytransactionofbusinessoperators.Article11Consumerssufferingfrompersonalinjuryorpropertydamageresultingfromtheirpurchasingorusingofcommoditiesorreceivingofservicesshallhavetherighttodema...
