摘要本文主要采用定性与定量相结合的研究方法，以韩礼德系统功能语法理论中的人际功能理论为分析框架，从语气、情态及人称代词三个方面进行解读和分析，试图探究英国女王的圣诞演讲在语气、情态和人称代词所体现的人际功能。经研究发现：1）在语气系统中，使用频率最高的是陈述语气，其次是疑问语气，没有用到感叹语气和祈使语气。这恰好体现了女王圣诞演讲的基本功能和作用。陈述语气通常用来提供信息，如圣诞节的历史来源，女王及皇室成员过去及未来的参加的活动，并展示英国皇室对英国公民的关心。陈述语气比疑问语气和祈使语气更具有说服力和可接受性。2）在情态系统中，意态表达和情态表达频率相同，意态表达使演讲更加客观，情态表达则是演讲更加平易近人，女王演讲是两者巧妙结合。并且中值情态动词的使用最多，其次是低值情态动词，在女王2017年的圣诞演讲中高值情态动词几乎没有用到。低值情态动词的使用拉进了女王与公民的距离，中值情态动词则使女王演讲既具有客观性有带有一定情感。3）在人称系统方面第一人称使用比例远高于二三人称，也就是说女王从自己角度向听众传递信息，使听众对演讲内容进一步了解和接受。第三人称高于第二人称，从客观的角度叙述相关事实，表明女王演讲的可靠性，进而赢得观众的认可和支持。本文探究了英国女王通过语言选择与听众建立有效交流，以及揭示女王对国际热点时事的态度，对历史事件的反思，对国内和国际民众的慰问与鼓励。该研究有助于帮助读者进一步理解女王演讲，也再次证明了韩礼德系统功能语法理论的实用性和适用性。关键词：人际功能，语气，情态，人称AbstractThisthesisadoptsquantitativeandqualitativeresearchmethodstouncovertheinterpersonalfunctionembodiedinQueen`sChristmasspeechin2017viatheanalysisofitsmood,modalityandpersonalpronounundertheframeworkofinterpersonalfunctionofSFGofHalliday.Throughanalysis,itcanbefoundthat:1)Declarativemoodtakesupabigpercentageinthespeech,followedbyinterrogativemood.ThisaccordswiththetwobasicfunctionsofQueen`sChristmas`speechin2017.Declarativemoodisusedtoprovideinformation,suchasthehistoricaloriginofChristmas,thepastandfutureactivitiesofthequeenandtheroyalfamily,andtheconcernofBritishroyaltytoBritish.Thedeclarativemoodismorepersuasiveandacceptablethantheinterrogativemoodandimperativemood.2)Themodulationtakesupthesamepercentagewiththemodalization,andtheformermakesthespeechmoreobjectiveinmodalitysystem.TheQueen'sspeechistheingeniouscombinationofthesetwo.Moreover,themedianmodalverbisthemostfrequentlyused,followedbythelowvaluemodalverb.IntheQueen'sChristmasspeechin2017,thehigh-valuemodalverbswerehardlyused.Thelowvaluemodalverbsshortenthedistancebetweenthequeenandthecitizen.ThemedianmodalverbmakestheQueen'sspeechobjectivityandemotion.3)Inpersonalsystem,thefirstpersonuseratioisfarhigherthanthetwoorthreeperson,thatis,thequeentransmitsinformationtotheaudiencefromhisownpointofview,makingtheaudiencefurtherunderstandandacceptthecontentofthespeech.ThisthesisexploreshowQueenbuildseffectivecommunicationwithaudiencethroughthechoiceoflanguage,anduncoverstheattitudestointernationalhottopics,thereflectionofhistoricalevents,andthecondolencesandencouragementstohernationsandworld`speople.ThisthesishelpreaderstohavebetterunderstandingaboutQueen`sspeeches,andattestthepracticabilityandapplicabilityofSFGofHalliday.Keywords:interpersonalfunctional,mood,modality,pronounChapter1IntroductionInthischapter,background,objectivesandoutlineofthestudywillbeintroduced,andhopefullythispartwillprovidereaderswithabasicunderstandingofthisstudy.BackgroundoftheStudySpeechisakindofpublicactivitywhichtakesanimportantsocialfunction.Soispublicspeech...
