初 中 英 语 语 法 精 讲 精 练 ： 主 谓 一 致 主谓一致是指谓语动词与主语在人称和数上保持一致。表现在三个方面：语法一致；意义一致；就近一致（就近原则）。 一、语法一致(意义一致)：主语复数---- 谓语复数；主语单数----- 谓语单数 1、主语复数的情况---- 谓复 ⑴ people, police, staff, crowd, sheep, cattle等 集 体 名 词 作 主 语 ， 谓 语 动 词 用 复数 形 式 。 The police are waiting for the boy. The staff are dressed as clowns. ⑵ 由 both…and…连 接 两 个 单 数 名 词 作 主 语 时 ， 谓 语 动 词 用 复 数 形 式 ； Both his father and his mother are both teachers. 他的爸爸和妈妈都是老师。 ⑶ “定 冠 词 +姓 氏 复 数 形 式 ”表 示 一 家 人 时 ， 谓 语 一 般 用 复 数 。 The Smiths are having dinner. ⑷ the ＋ a. 表 一 类 人 ， 做 主 语 ， 谓 语 用 复 数 ； 但 表 示 抽 象 概 念 时 ， 用 单 数 形 式 ： The poor aren’t always very sad, while the rich aren’t always happy.
