This paper mainly introduces the application of FISH technology in PGD for couples with chromosomal structural abnormalities. Firstly, the basic concepts and significance of PGD are introduced. Then, the types of chromosomal structural abnormalities and the principles and common methods of FISH technology are elaborated. Finally, the application of FISH technology in PGD for couples with chromosomal structural abnormalities is studied, including the detection of monoploid or polyploid structural abnormalities, and the detection of translocations. Overall, FISH technology has a high level of reliability and accuracy in PGD for couples with chromosomal structural abnormalities, which is of great significance for ensuring healthy pregnancy and giving birth to healthy offspring.Keywords: FISH technology, PGD, chromosomal structural abnormalities, monoploid or polyploid structural abnormalities, translocation.
