However, GSM-R inter-area switching is one of the important links, which is related to the communication continuity and quality of railway communication system. Therefore, how to optimize GSM-R inter-area switching has become a research focus in the current railway communication network optimization.This paper introduces the background and significance of GSM-R inter-area switching problem, and based on the analysis of related literature review and existing research, proposes a GSM-R inter-area switching optimization model based on expert system.
