Among them, the network mobility (NEMO) protocol is considered a promising technology in mobile communication. However, the complex routing structure of the NEMO protocol makes the network performance significantly affected by the routing optimization. In this paper, we will focus on the optimization of nested routing in the NEMO network to improve its performance. Firstly, we will analyze the NEMO protocol and its routing structure, and identify the challenges it poses to network performance. Secondly, we will review the relevant literature on optimization of the NEMO routing, including the methods and algorithms with different characteristics. We will also compare and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, and summarize the challenges and future directions in this research field.Then, we will propose an optimization framework for the nested routing in the NEMO network, which combines the advantages of existing methods and addresses some of their limitations. Specifically, we will design a distributed routing algorithm based on the node centrality and load balance, and integrate it with a cross-layer optimization mechanism that takes into account the physical and link layer conditions. Finally, we will implement and evaluate the proposed framework using a simulation platform. Experiments will be conducted to compare the performance of our approach with existing methods under various scenarios, such as different network topologies, node mobility, and traffic patterns. The performance metrics will include network throughput, delay, jitter, energy consumption, and routing overhead. The expected outcome of this research is to provide practical guidance and insights for improving the NEMO network performance through optimizing its nested routing.
