PTEN gene is a member of the tumor suppressor gene family, playing a suppressing role in various tumors. This study aims to investigate the expression and significance of the PTEN gene in polymorphous adenoma of the parotid gland.In this study, we will use immunohistochemistry to detect the expression of the PTEN gene in the parotid gland of patients with polymorphous adenoma and compare it with normal parotid gland tissue. We will analyze the role of the PTEN gene in the occurrence and development of polymorphous adenoma and explore its potential as a therapeutic target.The expected results are that the expression of the PTEN gene is down-regulated or inactivated in polymorphous adenoma of the parotid gland.
