The development of VoIP technology provides a new communication method for people, but due to the instability of the network and the delay jitter during transmission, it will affect the quality of voice communication. Therefore, how to control the delay jitter has become an important direction for VoIP technology research. This paper first introduces the basic principles and components of VoIP technology, then explains the concept of delay jitter and its impact. Next, this paper focuses on discussing several commonly used delay jitter control technologies, including Jitter Buffer, Adaptive Playout and Packet Delay Variation, and describes their implementation principles in detail.
