Soil aging may lead to a reduction in organic matter content and a decrease in soil microbial activity. Through literature review, this paper systematically summarizes the impact of soil aging on the interaction between organic pollutants and soil, discusses the migration, transformation and bioavailability of organic pollutants in soil with different aging degrees, and analyzes the biodegradation and bioremediation efficiency of organic pollutants in soil with different aging degrees. The research shows that soil aging has a significant impact on the bioavailability of organic pollutants. In highly aged soil, organic pollutants have a slow degradation rate and the metabolic activity of soil microorganisms is decreased.
