Sodium acetate is an alkaline medicine that can neutralize acidic substances in the body and improve acidosis symptoms. The aim of this study is to explore the efficacy and mechanism of sodium acetate in metabolic acidosis. The results showed that sodium acetate significantly reduced the level of acidic substances in the blood and increased the alkaline content, thereby improving the acid-base balance in the body. Sodium acetate also promoted the metabolism of lactate in the liver, reducing the accumulation of lactate in the body and improving the symptoms of metabolic acidosis. In addition, sodium acetate enhanced the activity of carbonic anhydrase in the kidneys, promoted the regeneration of bicarbonate ions, further increased the alkaline content in the body, and improved the symptoms of metabolic acidosis.
