The comparative study of total factor productivity of high-tech industries and traditional industries in China has important practical significance. Based on this, the purpose of this study is to explore the differences in total factor productivity between China's high-tech industries and traditional industries, and analyze the reasons behind them. Firstly, this paper uses literature review to expound the relevant theories and research status of total factor productivity, as well as the development processes and characteristics of China's high-tech industries and traditional industries. Then, using econometric methods, this paper selects data on China's high-tech industries and traditional industries from 2024 to 2024, constructs a total factor productivity model, and compares and analyzes the two industries. Finally, the empirical results are discussed, and policy suggestions and future research directions are proposed.【Key Words】High-tech Industry, Traditional Industry, Total Factor Productivity, Comparative Study, Econometrics
