Among different forms of Fe, hollow spherical Fe powders and their porous materials have attracted a great deal of attention due to their unique properties, such as high surface area, low density, and high reactivity. These properties make it possible to use them in a wide range of applications, such as catalysis, electromagnetic interference shielding, energy storage, and drug delivery. Therefore, the development of these materials has become a hot topic in the field of materials science and engineering.Research Objectives:The objectives of this research are to synthesize hollow spherical Fe powders and to convert them into porous materials by using different methods, such as thermal treatment, chemical etching, and template-assisted synthesis. The properties of these materials will be characterized by various analytical techniques, such as X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) analysis, and vibrating sample magnetometry. The effects of synthesis parameters, such as precursor concentration, reaction time, temperature, and surfactant type, on the morphology, structure, and properties of the hollow spherical Fe powders and their porous materials will be investigated. The obtained results will be used to understand the formation mechanism of these materials and to optimize their properties for specific applications.Research Plan:1. Literature review on the synthesis and applications of hollow spherical Fe powders and their...
