The purpose of this study is to investigate the expression and significance of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) in these two types of tumors. Through literature research and experimental verification, it was found that STAT3 is highly expressed in salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma and mucoepidermoid carcinoma, and is related to the invasiveness, metastasis ability, chemotherapy sensitivity, etc. of the tumor. In addition, STAT3 also interacts with multiple signaling pathways, such as JAK/STAT, Wnt/β-catenin, PI3K/AKT, etc., further enhancing the malignancy of the tumor. Therefore, studying the role of STAT3 in salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma and mucoepidermoid carcinoma can provide new targets and methods for clinical treatment. Keywords: salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma; mucoepidermoid carcinoma; STAT3; signaling pathway; therapeutic target
