Using winter wheat as the experimental material, this study investigated the effect of molybdenum on cold resistance of winter wheat through field experiments and indoor hydroponic experiments. The results showed that molybdenum treatment significantly improved the cold resistance of winter wheat, and the effect was positively correlated with the treatment concentration and time. Further research found that molybdenum treatment could improve the cell membrane stability of winter wheat, reduce the degree of lipid peroxidation, and enhance the tolerance of cells to low-temperature stress. At the same time, RNA sequencing analysis revealed some genes related to molybdenum response, including CYP71C6, CYP79D6, AGL42, etc., which are involved in life processes such as protein synthesis, cell signal transduction, and growth and development.
