This study aims to explore a new type of energy-saving anode material – lead-based porous anode, and its application effect in zinc electroplating process. Firstly, the preparation and characterization of lead-based porous anode were carried out, including the casting of lead anode, electrochemical research and surface morphology analysis. Secondly, the electrodeposition effect and electrochemical performance of lead-based porous anode in zinc sulfate solution and ammonium chloride solution were studied respectively, and compared with traditional zinc electroplating anodes. The results showed that lead-based porous anode not only had higher electrodeposition efficiency and electrochemical performance, but also could significantly reduce the energy consumption of zinc electroplating process.
