Among the existing numerical methods, the finite element method is a commonly used method. This paper will study the finite element method for nonlinear Hamiltonian systems and conduct comparative analysis.The main content of this paper includes: Firstly, introducing the basic concepts and properties of Hamiltonian systems and nonlinear Hamiltonian systems, as well as the basic principles and algorithms of the finite element method. Then, based on the finite element method, numerical simulations are conducted for a typical class of nonlinear Hamiltonian systems, and the results are analyzed and compared.
