What are the factors that affect these self-monitoring abilities in English vocabulary learning among non-English majored college students?3. What are the effective strategies to improve self-monitoring abilities for non-English majored college students in English vocabulary learning?Methodology:This study will use both quantitative and qualitative research methods. A questionnaire will be administered to a sample of non-English majored college students to collect data on their self-monitoring abilities in English vocabulary learning. In-depth interviews will also be conducted to explore the factors that affect these abilities and effective strategies to enhance them. Data analysis will involve statistical analyses and content analysis.Significance:The results of this study will provide insights into non-English majored college students' self-monitoring abilities in English vocabulary learning, which can inform teaching strategies and curriculum development. The study also contributes to the literature on second language acquisition and self-regulated learning.
