The study used field experiments to set up different fertilization treatments, and observed soil nitrogen transformation, maize root structure, and nitrogen uptake. The results showed that saturated ammonium storage tank fertilization can significantly increase the ammonium nitrogen content in the soil, but has no significant effect on nitrate nitrogen content. At the same time, saturated ammonium storage tank fertilization can promote the growth and development of maize roots, increase root length, root diameter, root surface area and other indicators, thereby enhancing the nutrient absorption capacity of maize. In addition, saturated ammonium storage tank fertilization can also improve the nitrogen fertilizer utilization efficiency of the soil, reduce the loss of nitrogen fertilizer, and has a good fertilization effect.
