By establishing experimental models, different concentrations of Xiangxi River water and the cohesive soil of the Bazimen landslide were tested for contact angle, electrical conductivity, pH value and other properties, as well as rheology and scanning electron microscopy observation, to analyze the hydrophilicity of the landslide soil affected by river water and its physical and chemical properties changes, and explore the rules of the impact of river water on the stability of the landslide. The results show that the ions and dissolved substances in Xiangxi River water will change the surface charge distribution and water cohesion state of the landslide soil, thereby affecting its physical and mechanical properties and stability. The research results of this paper provide a theoretical and experimental basis for the stability assessment and prevention of the Xiangxi River landslide.【Keywords】Xiangxi River; landslide; physical and chemical effects; stability assessment
