Purpose and objective During product and process development, every individual production step for product manufacture must be planned in such a way that ➢ adherence to all specified product characteristics is guaranteed using controlled, economical sequences. ➢ all planned production, assembly and testing sequences for a product from receipt of the production materials through to delivery of the finished product to the customer are collated in a clearly manageable layout in the form of a control plan. ➢ changes to described production, assembly and testing sequences are only introduced following prior assessment and approval.
