We communicate with other people or nations using euphemisms, which is elegant, indirect and euphemistic. With the strengthening of the globalization and the process of cross-cultural communication, it is important and necessary to use the euphemisms correctly. This thesis uses the methods of summarization, comparison, literature research and so on to study euphemism, and we can see the similarities of language and culture between English and Chinese as well as the difference in religion, modes of thinking and value outlook.
