1.张大千ZhangDaqian(1899—1983),wasborninMay,10th1899,theoriginalnameisZhangZhengquan,later,hechangedhisnameasZhangYuan,andZhangJiyuan,alsocalledZhangDaqian,hisaliasisDaqianLayBuddhist,anativeofNeijiang,SichuanProvince.Heisawell-notedartistoftraditionalChinesepaintingintheworld.HehadbegunlearningtraditionalChinesepaintingfromhischildhood,followinghismother,elderbrotherandmother’ssister.In1917,hetooksea-voyageeastwardtoJapantolearndyeingandpaintingskillstogetherwithhiselderbrother.In1919,hecamebackfromJapan,livedinshanghai,tooksomefamousmastersashisteacheragain,tostudyChinesewriting,painting,poemsandaChinesepoeticgenre.HehadtraveledtoandfrobetweenShanghaiandNeijiangforthreetimes.In1923,hemovedhishousetoShanghai.Mr.ZhangDaqianhadbecomefamousinthepaintingfieldofChinaasearlyaswhenheonlywasmorethantwentyyearsold.In1933,hewasemployedtobeanartprofessorbyNanjingCentralUniversity.In1934,hemovedhishousetoPeking,then,returnedtoQingchengMountainsinSichuan.Since1941,hehadtwicegonetothearttreasure-houseinDunhuangforexploring,concentratedonstudiesforthreeyears,imitatedagreatmanymurals,andgivennumbertothosemurals.Throughhispropagandaandintroduction,theDunhuangMuralswasthefocusofworldattention.ThetraveltoDunhuangbecameaturningpointinhisartlife,hispaintingskillwasmoreandmoreconsummate.AfterthevictoryofAnti-JapaneseWar,heheldhispaintingexhibitionatPeking,ShanghaiandSichuanfrequently.Inthewinterof1948,heheldanartexhibitioninHongKongandmovedhiswholefamilythere.InMarchof1949,hedrewapair“Lotusflowerpicture”forChairmanMaometiculouslyattheinvitationofMrs.HeXiangning.Attheendof1949,ZhangDaqianwenttoIndia,givinglecturesandheldpaintingexhibition.In1952,hemovedhisresidencefromHongKongtoArgentina,later,sojourninBrazilandAmericanagain.HehadheldhistraditionalChinesepaintingexhibitioninthecountriesmorethantwentyintheworld.In1958,hewasgenerallyacknowledgedas“thefirstgreatpainterinmodernworld”bytheNationalArtAssociationandawardedagoldenmedal.In1978,hecamebacktosettledownatTaiwan,diedofanillnessinApril，2nd1983.Mr.ZhangDaqianhaddrawnlotsofpaintingsallhislife,thenumberofwhichisbeyond10000.AmongthemareallkindsoftraditionalChinapaintings.Notonlyhashehadaprofoundstudyonlandscape,figure,flower-and-birdpaintings,butalsopoems,calligraphyandsealcarving.Mr.XuBeihonghadhighlypraisedhimas“thefirstmasterfor500years”.In1968,Mr.ZhangDaqiandrewahugelandscapecreaminBrazil.Thenameofwhichis“YangtzeRiverwholescenerypicture”.Theoriginalpaintinghas1996cmlong,and53.3cmwide,thesightonthepicturebeginsfromDuJiangyan,endsattheentrancetoseaofYangtzeRiveratWuSongkou,ithastremendousmomentumandnicesceneryfortheeyestofeaston.2.李白LiBai(701-762)isregardedasthegreatestromanticpoetoftheTangdynasty(618-907)andofChinaofalltimes.BorninCentralAsia,asitisbelieved,hemovedwithhisfamilytoSichuanattheageoffive.In725,hetraveleddowntheChangjiang(Yangzi)RiverwhenhewroteTheMoonovertheEyebrowMountainsandFarewellbeyondtheThorn-GateGorge,inwhichboththemoonandwaterarepersonified，andwhichrevealhisdeeploveofnatureaswellasofhisnativeland.In727,hewasmarriedtothegranddaughterofanex-ministerXu.In730,hecametoChang'an,theTangcapital,inthehopeofmeetingpeopleofinfluencewhowouldhelphimtorealizehispoliticalideal.Disappointed,hewroteLovesicknessinwhichhecomparedhisyearningtotheloveforawoman.HardIstheWayoftheWorldandHardIstheRoadtoShuwhichissupposedtobehismo...
