此资料由网络收集而来，如有侵权请告知上传者立即删除。资料共分享，我们负责传递知识。威廉王子在英国犹太护理中心25周年庆祝晚宴上英语演讲稿Thankyouverymuch,LordLevy,foryourextremelykindintroductionand,toLionel,forgivingyourtimetoentertainusthisevening.IimaginethiscrowdisalotrowdierthanwhatyouwillhaveatGlastonbury.LadiesandGentlemen,thankyouforinvitingmetojoinyouthiseveningforyourbirthdaycelebrations.Nearlytwohundredyearsago,in1819,thereweretwoquitemonumentalbirths.Thefirstwasmonumentalformyfamily–thebirthofmygreat,great,great,greatgrandmother,QueenVictoria,whowentontolive81yearsandwhosedaughter-in-law,Alexandra,gavehernametothisamazingbuilding.Thesecondremarkablebirthwasofanorganisation,whichlaterbecameknownastheJewishBlindSociety.Overthenexttwocenturies,theworldchangedconsiderably.YettherehasalwaysbeenoneconstantintheUnitedKingdom–aJewishcommunitywhichhasorganiseditselftosupportthosewhoneedhelpandsupport.WhetherinthetimeoftheJewishBoardofGuardians,ortheJewishWelfareBoardor,inourgeneration,JewishCare,thereisaproudstorytobetoldofself-relianceandcommunalresponsibility.Thiscommonthreadthroughhistory–ofcaringforoneanotherandgenerosityoftimeandmoney–issomethingthatmanysectorsofBritishsocietycanberightlyproudof.Butyouinthisroomdeserveparticularpraise.TheresultsofyourcommitmenttooneanotherwithintheJewishcommunityareobvious–therealandlovingcarethatthousandsofelderlyandvulnerablepeoplereceive,amongthemanyworksthatyoucarryout.此资料由网络收集而来，如有侵权请告知上传者立即删除。资料共分享，我们负责传递知识。Yourcareforoneanotherhasanother,lesstangiblevalue.DuringayearwhenmanyintheJewishcommunityhavehadcausetofeelunderthreat,fornoreasonotherthansimplythefactofyourJewishness,yourunityisallthemoreprecious.Yourcommitmentandloyaltytooneanother,andtosocietymorewidely,isultimatelywhatkeepsyoustrong.IwasremindedbeforeIcameheretonightthatanancestorofmine,apreviousDukeofCambridgeinfact,visitedtheGreatSynagogueinLondonin1809andattendedaSabbathservicetherewithhisbrothers.Itisamatterofgreatpridethatthesebondsinoursocietyrunasdeepastheyrunlong.Yourcareforoneanotherisnotjustafeeling,butitis–asweareremindedtonight–amaterialfact.IknowthatJewishCareisviewedasaleaderinthesocialcarefieldandusesitsknowledge,expertiseandexperiencetoengageinthedebateonhigh-qualitycare,especiallyinrelationtodementia.YourHolocaustSurvivorsCentreisasecondhomeformanypeoplewhowereliberated70yearsagofromthoseevilplaces.Allofyouinthisroom,insomeway,playyourpartinmakingallthishappenthroughthisoutstandingorganisation.Throughyourgenerosityandcommitment,IamsureJewishCarewillcontinuetothriveandgrowforthenext25years.Onceagain,congratulationsoneverythingyouhaveachieved.Iwishyouawonderfuleveningandahappybirthday.Mazeltov.
