北京理工大学珠海学院2020届本科生毕业论文TheNecessityofIntroducingEnglishandAmericanCultureinComprehensiveEnglishTeaching北京理工大学珠海学院2020届本科生毕业论文TheNecessityofIntroducingEnglishandAmericanCultureinComprehensiveEnglishTeachingAbstractAseconomicglobalizationdevelops,collegestudentshavemorechancestoconnectwiththeinternationalstage,sotheirinterculturalcommunicationabilityalsofacesseverechallenges.Undersuchcircumstances,moreattentionisgiventothecultivationofstudents'culturalawarenesssothatstudentscancommunicateeffectivelyandsuccessfullyinthecomplexandchangeableculturalenvironment.However,ChinesetraditionalEnglishteachingclassesfocusmoreonbasicEnglishknowledge,neglectingnecessarycombinationoflanguagelearningandculturalenvironment.ThiswrongteachingmodeleadsstudentstosimplyunderstandtheuseofEnglishlanguage,resultinginmanymistakesduringthecommunicationprocessandtheeffectofcommunicationisthusgreatlyreduced.Infact,thisalsoindicatestheneedforcombinglanguageknowledgeandculturalknowledge.Inthisway,studentscangraduallydevelopculturalthinkingability,andpromotethesmoothprogressofcross-culturalcommunication.Firstofall,thispaperdepictsthecurrentsituationandproblemsofEnglishteachingcoursesinChina.Then,itanalyzestherelationshipbetweenlanguageandculture.ThemostimportantpartisaboutthenecessityofintroducingEnglish-AmericancultureincomprehensiveEnglishclasses.Forthis,theauthorhasconductedaquestionnairesurveyamongstudentsinauniversityontheproblemsexistinginthecomprehensiveEnglishteachingclass.TheresultsprovethatthecurrentEnglishteachingclassneedstobeimprovedandthefeasibilityofintroducingBritishandAmericancultureintothecurriculum.Althoughtheremaybeafewshortcomingsinthepaper,theauthorhopestoprovidesomeenlightenmentforthepresentEnglishteachingmode.Asaresult,wecanimprovestudents’comprehensiveabilityofusingEnglishandmakecross-culturalcommunicationmorepositive,smoothandeffective.Keywords:comprehensiveEnglishteaching,EnglishandAmericanculture,cross-culturecommunicationI北京理工大学珠海学院2020届本科生毕业论文在综合英语课程中引入英美文化的必要性摘要随着经济全球化的发展,高校学生拥有着更多与国际舞台接轨的机遇而他们的跨文化交流能力也面临着严峻的挑战。在这种情势下,我们更加注重培养高校学生的文化意识,以便使他们在复杂多变的文化环境下成功有效地交流。但我国传统的英语教学课堂往往重视的是基本英语知识能力的传授,忽视了语言知识的学习与文化环境相结合。这种错误的教学模式导致学生只是单纯的懂得英语语言的用法,他们在交际过程屡次出现失误,交流效果也大打折扣。事实上,这也指出了将语言知识与文化知识相结合的必要性,从而逐步培养学生的文化思维能力,促进跨文化交流的顺利进行。本文首先描述了我国英语课程教学的现状和存在的问题。其次,从理论上分析了语言与文化的关系。本文最重要的部分是强调在综合英语课中引入英美文化的必要性。为此,笔者还对某高校学生进行了问卷调查,对其在英语综合课堂教学中存在的问题进行了调查。研究结果表明,现行的英语教学模式有待改进,英美文化融入课程的可行性有待提高。虽然本文可能存在一些不足之处,但笔者希望能给外语教学方法带来一些启示,从而提高大学生英语综合运用能力,使跨文化交际更加积极、顺畅、有效。关键词:综合英语教学;英美文化;跨文化交际II北京理工大学珠海学院2020届本科生毕业论文ContentsAbstract...........................................................Ⅰ摘要..............................................................ⅡIntroduction....................................................................
