By using the density indicators as proxy for the distribution of retail drug stores and hospitals, both non-parametric and parametric method found the relationship between the density of retail drug stores and hospitals is nonlinear and concave downward. This results suggested that currently the distribution of retail drug stores in shanghai disharmonized with the competition situation they confronted.
