The aim of this study is to investigate the interactions among various elements in the alloy and their effects on the thermodynamic properties of phase transition. By using thermogravimetric analysis and scanning electron microscopy to observe the microstructure of the samples, the distribution and interaction of the elements in the alloy are examined, and the thermodynamic properties of the alloy are determined by differential scanning calorimetry. The results show that the interactions between Mg, Mn, Zr, and Er elements in the alloy significantly affect the mechanical and thermodynamic properties of the alloy by changing the lattice structure, grain size, and phase transition temperature.Keywords: Al-Mg-Mn-Zr-Er alloy, interaction, phase transition, thermodynamic properties
