The results show that FDI has a significant positive effect on the economic growth of Hefei city, and the impact has time lag and regional differences. Specifically, FDI has a significant positive effect on economic growth 1-3 years after entering the current year, and this effect varies among different regions, with the high-tech development zone and economic and technological development zone having the most significant impact. In addition, the study also found that investment scale, openness, technology content and other factors have a significant impact on the economic growth effect of FDI.Keywords: FDI; Hefei city; economic growth; panel data.
