However, its effects on in vitro alveolar type II epithelial cells have not been fully investigated. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the effects of FGF9 on in vitro alveolar type II epithelial cells.Methods: In vitro cultured alveolar type II epithelial cells were treated with different concentrations of FGF9. Cell proliferation and apoptosis were evaluated using the MTT assay and flow cytometry, respectively. Molecular pathways rich in FGFR3 and ERK were analyzed by Western blot and real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR.Expected results: We expect that FGF9 will promote cell proliferation in in vitro alveolar type II epithelial cells, and may affect the expression of FGFR3 and ERK pathways.Conclusion: Through this study, we will gain a deeper understanding of the effects of FGF9 on alveolar type II epithelial cells and its importance in pulmonary physiology.Keywords: Alveolar type II epithelial cells; Fibroblast Growth Factor 9; Cell proliferation; FGFR3; ERK.
