Although the pathogenesis of PDR remains unclear, there is evidence that immune dysregulation and chronic inflammation may play a role. Human Leukocyte Antigen-D Related 7 (HLA-DR7) is one of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules found on immune cells and has been implicated in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The expression patterns of HLA-DR7 in PDR have not been fully explored. The purpose of this study is to investigate the expression of HLA-DR7 in PDR and to examine its potential role in the pathogenesis of this disease. Methods:We will perform a retrospective chart review of patients with PDR who underwent pars plana vitrectomy at our institution from 2024-2024. Age, gender, diabetic control, and medical history will be recorded. Immunohistochemical staining will be performed on vitreous samples collected during surgery. HLA-DR7 expression will be assessed and quantified in different cell types, including immune cells and endothelial cells. The expression levels of HLA-DR7 will be compared between patients with PDR and control patients without retinal disease.Expected Outcomes:We expect that HLA-DR7 will be expressed in both immune cells and endothelial cells in the vitreous samples from patients with PDR. We hypothesize that the expression of HLA-DR7 will be increased in patients with PDR compared to controls without retinal disease. We also anticipate that there will be a correlation between HLA-DR7 expression and disease severity in PDR.Conclusion:This study will provide novel insights into the role of HLA-DR7 in the pathogenesis of PDR. If our hypothesis is confirmed, 精品文档---下载后可任意编辑this study may pave the way for future investigations to determine the potential therapeutic efficacy of targeting HLA-DR7 in the treatment of PDR.
