With the development of wireless communication technology, the application of Ku band is becoming more and more extensive. However, the lack of high-power and high-efficiency Ku-band microwave power amplifiers restricts the further development of its application. Therefore, this paper aims to study the optimized design of microwave power field effect transistors matched in Ku band to improve the performance and power output of power amplifiers. This paper mainly includes the following parts: firstly, introduction of research background and significance, secondly, elaboration of relevant theoretical knowledge, then introduction of the design method adopted, and discussion of the design results and implementation process. Finally, the work is summarized and future research directions are proposed.Keywords: Ku band, microwave power field effect transistor, matching, power amplifier
