In order to meet the requirement of high-speed transmission, the current LTE networks are based on a framework of small cells, providing a denser network topology, but requiring more complex network planning and optimization.One of the challenges in deploying small cells in LTE network scenarios is how to efficiently allocate network resources to multiple users. A traditional approach to improve the network resource allocation is by using interference coordination mechanisms, which are mainly based on frequency reuse and power control. However, these can not guarantee optimal resource allocation and may cause unnecessary interference with other neighboring cells.Cellular zooming is a promising technology that can improve the performance of LTE networks by dynamically adjusting the size of cells in the network. Cellular zooming can enhance the network resource allocation efficiency by increasing the capacity of the network without increasing the radio interference level. Objectives:The main objective of this research is to investigate and evaluate the feasibility of cellular zooming technology in LTE system. The specific objectives are as follows:1. To review and analyze existing research on cellular zooming technology in LTE systems.2. To propose an algorithm to adjust the size of cells in the network to optimize network resource allocation.3.
