Firstly, through literature investigation, the basic characteristics of MHA binder and chemical structure of organic functional components are understood. Secondly, the phase structure and morphology of natural iron, titanium, and silicon oxide minerals are characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques. Then, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) techniques are used to study the interaction between organic functional components of MHA binder and the surface of natural iron, titanium, and silicon oxide minerals. Finally, the interaction mechanism between organic functional components of MHA binder and the surface of natural iron, titanium, and silicon oxide minerals is discussed through the analysis of experimental results.Keywords: MHA binder, organic functional components, natural iron, titanium, and silicon oxide minerals, interaction mechanism.
