Cbx4 is a member of Polycomb complexes, and its expression is closely related to the development of the heart and immune system. In this study, we will using a mouse model to investigate the function of Cbx4 in thymus development. First, Cbx4 whole-body knockout mice will be constructed, and their thymus will be monitored to understand the effect of Cbx4 on thymus development. Secondly, Cbx4 will be overexpressed in mouse T cells and thymocytes to observe its function. Finally, protein mass spectrometry will be used to identify the target genes of Cbx4 binding and explore its role in thymus development.
