VEGF-C is an important vascular growth factor that promotes tumor angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis through binding to VEGFR-2 and VEGFR-3 receptors. The aim of this article is to explore the expression of VEGF-C in breast cancer tissue and its clinical significance in breast cancer.Through the search of relevant literature, it was found that the expression of VEGF-C in breast cancer tissue is generally higher than that in normal breast tissue. The intensity of VEGF-C expression is closely related to the depth of infiltration, lymph node metastasis, and prognosis of breast cancer. VEGF-C can provide sufficient nutrition and oxygen for tumors and provide pathways for tumor cell expansion by promoting angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis. Therefore, VEGF-C is an important molecular mechanism for the progression and metastasis of breast cancer. In clinical practice, VEGF-C can be used as a biological marker to predict the prognosis of breast cancer patients. The level of VEGF-C expression can be used to evaluate the prognosis and efficacy of patients, guide the choice and adjustment of treatment plans. Keywords: VEGF-C, breast cancer, prognosis, biomarker
