However, as the scale of the network continues to expand, the complexity of the network topology and the bandwidth demand for network communication have also increased significantly. Therefore, developing an efficient routing and wavelength assignment algorithm is crucial for achieving high-performance, high-reliability networks.This paper mainly studies the routing and wavelength assignment algorithm for WDM all-optical networks. First, the basic concepts and composition of WDM all-optical networks are introduced. Then, the importance of routing and wavelength assignment in WDM all-optical networks and the limitations of existing algorithms are analyzed. After that, an improved algorithm based on a greedy algorithm is proposed and simulated and analyzed.Through simulation and analysis, this paper shows that the proposed algorithm can satisfy the network bandwidth demand while ensuring the effectiveness and reliability of the network topology.
