The kernel is an important part of Camellia oleifera, which contains rich oil and various nutrients, and is an important oil and food raw material. In this study, we selected five Camellia oleifera varieties of the Changlin series and compared and analyzed their main chemical components. The results showed that the oil content of the five varieties of kernel ranged from 49.01% to 56.67%, which can be used as a source of high-quality oil; among them, the oil content of the Yujia variety is the highest, reaching 56.67%. The total flavonoid content of the kernel of the five varieties ranged from 3.78 to 7.54 mg/g, in which the Changlin Camellia oleifera had the highest total flavonoid content, reaching 7.54 mg/g. Overall, the chemical composition of the kernel of the Changlin series of Camellia oleifera is excellent and can be used as an important source of oil and food raw materials.Keywords: Camellia oleifera; kernel; chemical composition; comparative analysis
