However, despite the shared goal of English proficiency, there are often distinct differences in the way students approach language learning depending on their cultural backgrounds and educational systems.Through this research project, we hope to gain a better understanding of these differences and similarities, as well as identify effective language learning strategies that can be shared in order to improve overall language learning outcomes. Our research will involve surveying a large number of Chinese and American university students on their language learning patterns, taking into account factors such as cultural attitudes towards language learning, teaching styles, motivation, and access to language resources. We will also conduct a series of focus groups and interviews in order to gain a more in-depth understanding of these factors and how they contribute to successful language learning outcomes.Ultimately, we hope that this research will enable us to foster even closer ties between Chinese and American university students by providing a shared understanding of the challenges and opportunities of language learning in both cultures.Thank you for considering this proposal, and I look forward to working with you all on this exciting project.
