Firstly, the basic principle of artificial electromagnetic structure and its advantages in application are briefly introduced. Then the design principles, preparation technologies and relevant application research of artificially electromagnetic structure polarization modulation materials are discussed in detail, including the applications of frequency selective surfaces, polymers and metals.Through the induction and summary of related literature, we found that artificially electromagnetic structure polarization modulation materials have good performance in a wide range of application fields, such as communication, radar, terahertz waves and so on.
