This paper first introduces the research status of this structure at home and abroad, analyzes its advantages and disadvantages, and proposes the research content and method of this study.Next, this paper presents a detailed design plan and program for the experimental research, including the materials and geometric parameters of the test samples, the experimental device, and the testing plan. Different stacking methods and axial compression ratios will be tested, and the test results and possible problems will be analyzed.Based on the experimental data, this paper carries out nonlinear analysis using finite element software to explore the deformation characteristics, bearing capacity, and stability of the composite column. Based on the analysis results, this paper summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of steel tube concrete composite column high piers and proposes improvement and optimization suggestions.Keywords: steel tube concrete composite column high piers; experimental research; nonlinear analysis; stability; optimization suggestions.
