Among different types of polymers, polyaniline (PANI) is considered one of the most promising conducting polymers, owing to its high conductivity, good environmental stability, and easy synthesis. However, the inherent brittleness and low mechanical strength of PANI limit its practical applications. To overcome these drawbacks, researchers have developed composite materials by incorporating PANI with other materials, such as metals, to enhance their properties. Among them, silver (Ag) is widely used because it has high thermal conductivity and good electrical conductivity compared to other metals.Objectives:The aim of this project is to synthesize PANI and PANI/Ag composite materials and investigate their electrical properties. Specifically, the objectives are:1. To synthesize PANI using chemical polymerization method2. To prepare PANI/Ag composite materials via in-situ chemical reduction method3.
