To investigate the coping strategies non-English major college students use to deal with English reading anxiety.Methodology:This study will use a mixed-methods approach, consisting of both qualitative and quantitative data. A survey will be conducted to collect data on the level of English reading anxiety, factors contributing to anxiety, and coping strategies. The sample will consist of non-English major college students from various universities in China. Additionally, interviews will be conducted with some participants to provide in-depth information on their experiences with English reading anxiety.Expected Outcomes:The findings of this study may help educators and policymakers better understand the challenges that non-English major college students face when learning English, particularly in terms of reading. By identifying the factors that cause English reading anxiety, educators can develop effective teaching strategies to alleviate the anxiety of non-English major students while improving their English proficiency.
