In this study, the cDNA of MyHCI-S1 was cloned by RT-PCR and its structure and function were analyzed. The results showed that the cDNA sequence of MyHCI-S1 was 2678 bp in length and encoded 891 amino acid residues, including head, neck, negative charge belt, and heavy chain subfragment 1. Sequence alignment and structure prediction revealed that MyHCI-S1 protein had typical features of myosin heavy chain subfragment 1, which contained multiple α-helices and β-sheets. Further analysis showed that MyHCI-S1 had specific structures such as myosin hook and myosin interaction site in the vertical length structure, which were closely related to its role in muscle contraction. These specific structures provided a theoretical basis for further understanding the mechanism of muscle contraction.Keywords: fish muscle, myosin, heavy chain subfragment 1, cDNA cloning
