At the beginning of the 20th century, Bakhtin's theory of carnivalization has aroused great repercussions in the academic world and provided a new perspective for readers to understand literary works. Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels is an excellent novel, and the carnival color in it is more worthy of further study. This article will use Bakhtin's theory of carnivalization to analyze the carnival color in Gulliver's Travels through the analysis of some scenes in the novel, and analyze its unique "national carnival" logic.
